Coty

is a beauty brand founded by François Coty in 1904. Born Joseph Marie François Spotorno, a native of Corsica, he moved to Paris and adopted the most popular name in France which is François Coty, with "Coty" which is a variant of his mother's maiden name. Initially a secretary, he studied perfumery under the supervision of a local pharmacist and began what he hoped would be a revolution in perfumery, which has not changed much since the 19th century
